The Fighter MMA Panel is a blood test panel designed for individuals involved in MMA, boxing, kickboxing, wrestling, martial arts and other combative sports.

Many gyms, fight promotions, athletic commissions, tournaments and combat sports organizations may request bloodborne pathogen screening before participation, licensing, competition or event clearance.

This panel includes commonly requested infectious disease screening tests for Hepatitis B, Hepatitis C and HIV.

Designed for fighters and combat sports participants
Includes Hepatitis B Surface Antigen
Includes Hepatitis C Antibody
Includes HIV 4th Generation Antigen/Antibody
Low-cost testing option
Doctor's order included
No insurance required
Convenient online ordering

What This Fighter Panel Includes

This panel includes three common blood tests often requested for combat sports participation:

  • Hepatitis B Surface Antigen: Screens for current Hepatitis B infection marker
  • Hepatitis C Antibody: Screens for Hepatitis C exposure marker
  • HIV 4th Generation Antigen/Antibody Test: Screens for HIV antigen and antibodies

Why Fighters May Need This Panel

Combat sports can involve cuts, bleeding and close physical contact. Because of this, some organizations request testing for bloodborne infections before a fighter is allowed to compete or participate.

This panel may be useful for:

  • MMA fighters
  • Boxers
  • Kickboxers
  • Wrestlers
  • Martial arts competitors
  • Combat sports licensing requirements
  • Fight promotion or event clearance requirements
  • Gym, tournament or organization screening requirements

Low-Cost Combat Sports Testing Option

This Fighter MMA Panel is designed to provide a convenient and affordable way to access commonly requested fighter bloodwork.

Ordering these tests together may be more cost-effective than ordering each test separately.

This panel is a practical option for athletes who need lab results quickly for training, licensing, competition, event registration or documentation.

Who May Consider This Test?

  • Fighters preparing for a scheduled bout
  • Athletes applying for combat sports licensing
  • Participants entering MMA, boxing, kickboxing or martial arts events
  • Students or athletes whose gym or coach requested infectious disease screening
  • Promoters or teams needing documentation before competition
  • Customers who want low-cost testing without insurance billing

Important: Confirm Your Organization's Requirements

Requirements vary by athletic commission, promoter, gym, tournament, state, event and organization.

Before ordering, confirm that this panel includes the exact tests required by your requesting party.

Some organizations may require testing within a specific time window before the event, such as within 30 days, 60 days or another required timeframe.

Important: This Panel Is for Screening and Documentation

This panel provides lab testing access and results that may be used for documentation when accepted by your requesting organization.

It does not guarantee fight clearance, athletic commission approval, licensing approval or event participation.

The final decision is made by the athletic commission, promoter, event organizer, gym, licensing board or requesting party.

About the Included Tests

Hepatitis B Surface Antigen

Hepatitis B Surface Antigen testing helps screen for a marker that may be associated with current Hepatitis B infection.

Hepatitis C Antibody

Hepatitis C Antibody testing helps screen for possible past or current exposure to Hepatitis C. If positive, additional confirmatory testing may be needed.

HIV 4th Generation Antigen/Antibody

HIV 4th Generation testing screens for HIV antigen and antibodies. This type of test may help detect HIV earlier than antibody-only testing, but timing after exposure still matters.

Important Timing Information

If exposure was recent, infectious disease testing may not be positive right away.

Testing too soon after exposure may produce a negative result even if infection occurred. If recent exposure is suspected, repeat testing may be needed based on healthcare provider guidance.

If this panel is for fight clearance, check the exact date range required by your organization before ordering.

Important Health Warning

If you have possible recent exposure to HIV, Hepatitis B or Hepatitis C, symptoms after exposure, needle-stick injury, sexual exposure concern, fever, jaundice, dark urine, severe fatigue, abdominal pain or any urgent medical concern, contact a licensed healthcare provider promptly.

If recent HIV exposure occurred, urgent medical evaluation may be time-sensitive.

Screening and Lab Access Only

LabReqs and SchoolTiters provide access to lab testing. We do not diagnose HIV, Hepatitis B, Hepatitis C or any medical condition.

We do not provide treatment, clearance decisions, athletic commission approval, licensing approval or event eligibility decisions.

Positive, abnormal or unclear results should be reviewed with a licensed healthcare provider promptly.

Important Limitations

  • This panel includes Hepatitis B Surface Antigen, Hepatitis C Antibody and HIV 4th Generation testing.
  • This panel does not include Hepatitis B immunity testing unless ordered separately.
  • This panel does not include Hepatitis B Core Antibody unless ordered separately.
  • This panel does not include Hepatitis C RNA confirmatory testing unless ordered separately.
  • This panel does not include syphilis, gonorrhea, chlamydia or other STI testing unless ordered separately.
  • Negative results may not rule out very recent exposure.
  • Some organizations may require different tests or specific timing before competition.
  • Final acceptance of results is determined by the requesting organization.

Before Ordering

  • Confirm your athletic commission, promoter, gym or organization accepts these tests.
  • Confirm the required testing window before your event or licensing deadline.
  • Confirm whether Hepatitis B immunity testing or additional STI testing is required.
