Who Should NOT Get the Tdap Vaccine
Do NOT receive this vaccine if you:
- Had a life-threatening allergic reaction to a previous tetanus, diphtheria, or pertussis vaccine
- Have a severe allergy to any component of the vaccine
- Experienced coma or prolonged seizures within 7 days of a prior DTP/DTaP/Tdap dose (unless another cause was identified)
📌 These individuals may still be eligible for the Td vaccine
Talk to Your Doctor If You:
- Have a history of seizures or neurological conditions
- Had severe pain or swelling after prior vaccines
- Have had Guillain-Barré Syndrome (GBS)
- Are feeling unwell on the day of vaccination
